Adenike Cotton

Adenike Cotton is a Clinical Mental Health Counseling Intern who seeks to foster a safe space for individuals to explore themselves and embark on their healing journey.

Adenike graduated from Howard University with a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology and a minor in Human Development. She is currently in her final stage of pursuing a Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Clark Atlanta University.

In today’s socio-political climate, Adenike is an advocate for mental health and self-care for all individuals. She provides individual counseling for adults ages 18 and older, as well as couples, family, and group counseling. She enjoys curating a safe space for those with a minority background and/or marginalized identities to explore themselves openly. Adenike aims to establish trust, comfortability, and authenticity with each client by building a therapeutic relationship rooted in empowerment and equality. Her goal is to partner with the client to guide them as they follow a road to healing that is designed for THEM by THEM.

Adenike is passionate about inner child work and helping clients to identify and change patterns or habits that no longer serve them. She utilizes an intersectional therapeutic approach to aid clients in increasing awareness and effectively managing life’s challenges and transitions.

Adenike provides therapeutic services under the clinical supervision of Brentia Caldwell, Ph.D., LPC, NCC, ACS, CPCS.
